(TERRE HAUTE)(AP) - A federal grand jury has indicted 48-year-old Brad Keller, of Terre Haute on charges he illegally owned the handgun that was later used to fatally shoot Terre Haute Police Officer Brent Long.
Prosecutors say Keller, a convicted felony, had the gun in June and sold it to Shaun Seeley, who used to shoot Long and then killed himself on July 11.
U.S. Attorney Joe Hogsett says it is important for all those who contributed to the chain of events be held accountable. A not-guilty plea was entered on behalf of Keller.
