(TERRE HAUTE) - 21-year-old Lindsay Pinegar, of Terre Haute, pleaded guilty Monday to a felony charge of failing to stop at a fatal crash in the October 2009 death of a 13-year-old boy.
She is facing 8 years in prison when sentenced on Dec. 22.
The boy was walking along a city street when he was hit by Pinegar's SUV. She fled the scene and Pinegar's former stepfather, James Carrier smeared deer blood and fur on her damaged SUV to cover up the crime.
He pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice.
