(TERRE HAUTE) - A couple of Indiana Department of Transportation workers made a 90-year-old Terre Haute woman’s day today when they returned her lost wallet.
Jim Hargis and Richard Shrout were on their way to install Adopt-a-Highway signs south of Terre Haute this morning when Hargis noticed a wallet on the side of the road on the US 41 bridge over Honey Creek.
Shrout used a cell phone application to look up the wallet owner's address. The duo then delivered the wallet to a very happy 90-year-old woman.
They say she invited them in for coffee and offered to pay them, but they declined because they were just doing their job.
