(SEYMOUR) - Two Seymour residents have been arrested and face charges of robbery, police said Friday.
Richard C. Robbins, 36, and Billie Jo Roberts, 39, were booked into the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown on $10,005 bond each.
Indiana State Trooper Seth Davidson said the arrests stem from an investigation that began last Sunday after a group of people stole money from an 85-year-old male south of Seymour.
Davidson said that Robbins and Roberts had been to the man's house a few days before and sold him an antique teapot, at which time they saw the man's money.
"They went back with the intention of robbing him," Davidson said. "When he answered the door, they pulled him outside, knocked him down and took his wallet."
Davidson said the case is still under investigation and more arrests could be made.
