(FRANKLIN) - A Johnson County correctional officer was arrested Friday after police said he was driving while under the influence.
Robert Kelly, 28, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
According to the police report, a Franklin police officer stopped Kelly's personal vehicle around 11 p.m. Friday, because the officer stated Kelly's license plate matched a different vehicle. The officer noted when he spoke with Kelly, he could smell the "distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath."
The officer stated Kelly submitted to three sobriety tests, which he was unable to perform correctly. Kelly was then transported to the New Whiteland Police Department where he was given a breath test. The report stated Kelly blew a .08 BAC.
