(JACKSON COUNTY) - 31-year-old Brian Schachel, of North Vernon, was arrested in Jackson County after police found 8 pounds of compressed marijuana and 265 pills in his vehicle.
Indiana State Police stopped Schachel for a traffic violation at the exit of I-65 at State Road 11 Saturday morning.
Trooper Randel Miller says Schachel was acting suspicious and called for Trooper Stephen Whelles and his K-9 Kane who located the drugs.
Schachel was arrested and taken to the Jackson County Jail.
