(INDIANAPOLIS) - A car was towed from a west side business Thursday night while a 7-year-old boy was asleep inside the vehicle.
Indianapolis metro police spokeswoman Linda Jackson said the tow truck driver told police he did not see the child sleeping on the backseat when he towed the car from a fire lane.
Police detained the tow truck driver and a woman at the scene who originally reported the car stolen.
Investigators did not release the woman's relation to the child.
The child was not injured.
