(FORT WAYNE) (AP) - Authorities say a 20-year-old Fort Wayne man died after he was pulled from a frigid pond.
Indiana conservation officers say in a news release that witnesses saw James A. Anderson walk into the pond at Lakeside Park and disappear beneath the water about 9:30 p.m. Friday. Witnesses told authorities that Anderson didn't respond to their calls for him to stop.
The Fort Wayne Fire Department's Dive Team pulled the man from the pond and he was taken to a hospital where he later died.
An autopsy was scheduled for Saturday to determine the cause of death.
