(UNDATED) - More than 500,000 bottles of infant Tylenol are being recalled.
Johnson and Johnson is taking action as a precaution because the dosage restrictor could fail.
The company introduced this new redesigned dosage method less than three months ago. It includes a syringe which when inserted into the bottle goes into a flow restrictor so the dose is measured properly. In some cases, the restrictor pushes into the bottle when inserting the syringe, possibly impacting the dosage amount.
So far, there haven't been any "adverse events" that have come from the problem.
