(TERRE HAUTE) - A western Indiana man faces charges alleging that he shot at two children with a BB gun, striking one of them in the forehead.
21-year-old Joshua Fields of Terre Haute was arrested Sunday after witnesses identified him as the person who fired at the youngsters. He faces a criminal recklessness charge and is jailed at the Vigo County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond.
Terre Haute police who responded to Sunday night's shooting spoke to an older child who was with the elementary-school-age victim. That child told police that Fields allegedly fired the BB gun at him first, but missed, and then allegedly shot at the younger child.
The victim was struck above the right eye, drawing blood.
