(INDIANAPOLIS) - A new state reading test will determine which students will be allowed to move onto the fourth grade.
Lawmakers implemented a new law back in 2010 that tests third grade students' reading skills.
Students who fail will be given remediation and have a second opportunity to pass at the end of the summer. Students who fail a second time, will have to repeat the third grade.
Teachers will administer the test in March.
