(INDIANAPOLIS) - An Indianapolis woman was arrested Wednesday after police accused her of victimizing elderly Hoosiers.
Investigators said Nickelle Rodgers, 27, portrayed herself as a healthcare worker to gain entry into senior citizens' retirement communities on the city's north side. Once inside their homes, Rodgers allegedly took advantage of their personal belongings.
Rodgers was arrested on charges of residential entry, theft, deception and driving with a suspended driver's license, police said.
Detectives said Rodgers may have previously worked as a healthcare provider and that they made the arrest after receiving an anonymous tip.
