(INDIANAPOLIS)(AP) - The Judicial Nominating Commission will hold public interviews Thursday for the seven people seeking to become the next Indiana Supreme Court justice.
The high court will have an opening in March when Chief Justice Randall Shepard retires.
The list of semifinalists includes Gov. Mitch Daniels' former counsel, Mark Massa, Marion Superior Court Judges Robert Altice Jr. and Robyn Moberly, Indiana Court of Appeals Judge Cale Bradford, Floyd Superior Court Judge Maria Granger and attorneys Steven Schultz of Columbus and Jane Seigel of Indianapolis.
After the interviews, the commission will deliberate in executive session and then vote publicly to recommend three finalists. Daniels then has 60 days to announce his selection.
