(VINCENNES) - Two men were arrested Tuesday morning by Indiana State Police troopers for dealing in marijuana over 30 grams, a Class D felony.
At approximately 11:30 a.m., Trooper Doug Francis stopped the driver of a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire for making an improper turn at Ninth Street and College Avenue in Vincennes.
While conducting the traffic stop, Trooper Francis became suspicious that illegal drug activity was occurring. A search of the vehicle revealed more than 60 grams of marijuana, nearly $700 in cash, digital scales and numerous empty plastic baggies.
Two passengers in the car, identified as Cole Walls, 18, of Terre Haute, and Trevor Humes, 21, of Anderson, were arrested and taken to the Knox County Jail, where they are currently being held on bond. An 18-year-old female, who was driving, was not arrested.
Senior ISP Trooper Bill Gadberry and Vincennes Police assisted.
