(INDIANAPOLIS) - Butler University released a statement Sunday, saying head coach Brad Stevens is staying at the school.
Stevens' name has been rumored in several coaching searches across the country, most recently this week at the University of Illinois.
"I am happy and extremely grateful to be the head coach at Butler University, and I am already looking forward to next season and the start of our postseason workouts in April," Stevens said in the release.
Stevens, a DePauw University graduate, has coached the Bulldogs for five seasons, compiling a record of 139-40, including runner-up finishes in the NCAA Tournament in 2010 and 2011.
Butler lost to Pittsburgh in the semifinals of the College Basketball Invitational last week.
