(UNDATED) - The list of the world’s top billionaires includes four from Indiana.
The richest Hoosier, according to the list from Forbes magazine, is Gayle Cook, widow of William Cook, whose company made the first coronary stent approved for use in the U.S. William Cook died last year, so Gayle cook took his place on the Forbes list with a net worth of $3.4 billion, number 330 in the country.
Herb Simon, whose company owns almost 400 shopping malls and other properties, is worth $1.8 billion this year and ranks 719th on the Forbes list. Simon also owns the Indiana pacers, and his net worth increased by $700 million over the past year.
Entrepreneur Dean White of Crown Point is tied with Simon on this year's list, also at $1.8 billion.
Colts owner Jim Irsay is ranked number 913 on the Forbes list with a net worth of $1.4 billion.
The world's richest man, according to Forbes, is still Carlos Slim. The telecommunications mogul from Mexico is worth an estimated $69 billion.
