(INDIANAPOLIS) - Two 73-year-old women are credited with scaring off a would-be robber after they were held up outside an Indianapolis mall over the weekend.
Friends Carolyn Sue Jackson and Ruth Alkire were loading shopping bags into their car at Castleton Square Mall on Saturday when they were approached by a young man.
He demanded both of their purses and threatened to stab them before Jackson ran to the driver's side of the car and began honking the horn. Alkire then screamed "leave us alone. I know judo!"
The women told police that the man ran off through the parking lot. They were not injured.
No arrests had been made as of Tuesday.
