(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana’s lieutenant governor, along with the Department of Homeland Security, will get a first hand look at the tornado damage in southern Indiana today.
They'll take a ground tour of the damage in Holton, in Ripley County.
They will then fly over the damage and make ground stops in Clark County and end the tour in Sellersburg, where a disaster recovery center has opened.
Meantime, Indiana Senator Richard Lugar is praising the work of state and federal relief workers in southern Indiana.
Lugar traveled to Henryville on Saturday for a second time since a pair of massive tornadoes cut through the town more than a week ago.
President Barack Obama issued an emergency declaration last week for six counties in southern Indiana.
Lugar and other members of the congressional delegation sought the federal emergency relief last week along with Governor Mitch Daniels.
