(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana philanthropist Marilyn Glick died Friday at the age of 90, Indiana University officials said.
Glick and her husband, Eugene, are known through the state for their charitable efforts. Their philanthropy created the Glick Eye Institute at IU.
The Glicks serve several programs within the Indianapolis area, including the Indiana Authors Award, the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library Foundation and Pro 100.
With their support, the city of Indianapolis created the Indianapolis Cultural Trial: A Legacy of Eugene and Marilyn Glick. The Indiana Historical Society also named its headquarters after the Glicks as a result of their gifts.
