(DANVILLE) - Police and rescue crews were on the scene of a serious crash near Danville in Hendricks County this morning.
Shortly before 6 a.m. police say two cars collided on North State Road 39, just north of where it intersects with State Road 236.
Jim Scott of WISH TV reports one of the cars was inverted with an occupant trapped inside. State Road 39 was closed for just over an hour while rescue crews worked to free the driver of the second vehicle. Lanes were open again as of around 7:30 a.m.
A medical helicopter landed near the scene to transport one injured person to the hospital. An ambulance took the other inured person to the hospital for treatment. Officers have not released the condition of the injured. Police continue to investigate.
