(DALE) - 37-year-old Daniel Powers, of Dale, was arrested Thursday afternoon by Indiana State Police troopers after he made treatening statement to the principal at Chrisney Elementary School.
Powers was charged with intimidation, a Class D felony. Police say normally the charge would have been a misdemeanor, but was bumped up to a felony, because the threatening statements were made to a teacher.
Police also say the statements were made in such a manner that the principal perceived that if Powers were to follow through with them, it may lead to her and or her family being harmed.
Powers made the threat after he didn't like the response he received from the principal.
