(TERRE HAUTE) - Police in Terre Haute have arrested a 46-year-old man on charges in connection with the death of his brother who was dead for several weeks before being discovered.
Police arrested Byron Sutton of Terre Haute on Thursday of a charge of altering a crime scene.
Assistant Police Chief Shawn Keen tells the Tribune-Star that an autopsy found 47-year-old Guy Sutton died from a gunshot wound. Keen says maintenance workers found Sutton's body on Wednesday when they went to clean out his apartment because rent and bills hadn't been paid.
Police didn't immediately release details of Byron Sutton's involvement. He was jailed and was expected to have an initial court appearance today.
