(TIPTON COUNTY) - U.S. Highway 31 near Division Road in Tipton County is open again after being shut down for much of Tuesday morning due to a wreck involving chemicals.
State Police Sergeant Tony Slocum says it happened around 6:30 am Tuesday when a box truck carrying household cleaning products stopped at a railroad crossing and was rear-ended by a semi tractor-trailer.
The crash caused the chemicals to leak and the road was shut down as a precaution.
The only person hurt was the driver of the tractor-trailer, who was taken to a hospital.
