(INDIANAPOLIS) - A very warm week is ahead for central Indiana, with high temperatures each day through the weekend expected to be at least 20 degrees above average.
A very warm, spring weather pattern will settle into the state, and it won’t change.
High temperatures through Sunday are expected to be at least 70 degrees each day, with the warmest day expected on Wednesday, when highs are expected to get into the mid 70s.
Some rain chances will come along with the warmth, however.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be in the forecast from Thursday through at least Saturday.
It's too early to tell if any severe weather is in the forecast, but it doesn't look likely at this point.
Normal highs this time of year are slightly below 50, so a week of highs in the 70s is highly unusual.
