(BOONVILLE) - A Boonville couple says they’re repeated targets of racially motivated vandalism.
Beth Waller and Keith Brimm are an interracial couple. They say the vandalism began in early 2010 when a window was broken, the phone line was cut and the front porch set on fire.
In October 2010 Eyewitness News reported the couple was considering moving after their home and car were spray painted with racial slurs. Last summer someone through a brick through their front door. And earlier this year, someone threw a brick caring a derogatory note through their bedroom window.
Now the couple says they've been attacked again. The pair is homeless after their home was allegedly set on fire.
"It's gone. It's just gone," says Waller as she starts to cry. "I fear for my life."
The couple says the American Red Cross is assisting them by providing them money for temporary shelter, food and clothing. Eyewitness News tried to reach Boonville Police regarding their investigation but they were unavailable for comment.
