(MECCA) - A former fire chief in the Wabash Valley is headed to prison.
The former fire chief of Mecca, 39-year-old Michael Collom, was sentenced to seven years Friday.
Collom pleaded guilty to a drunk driving incident that killed a man in June of last year.
He crashed his car into a home, killing Stacey Williamson and injuring his wife.
Collom will serve the first five years of his sentence in the Indiana Department of Correction.
He will serve the last two years in home detention.
