(INDIANAPOLIS) - U.S. Attorney Joe Hogsett announced federal charges against a man who he says preyed on young teenage boys. Investigators say Richard Finkbiner, 39, coerced two teenagers into sending racy photos.
Julian Grace, of WISH TV reports once Finkbiner received those photos, authorities say he threatened to post the pictures on various sites if he didn't receive more naked pictures.
In one case a victim warned Finkbiner that his behavior was illegal.
"You know that I'm under age and that this against the law," said one of victims. "You could be arrested for this, you know that?"
According to investigators, Finkbiner told his victims he was too clever to get caught.
"I won't get caught. I'm a hacker. I covered my tracks," Finkbiner reportedly said.
Investigators found more than 1,000 images on Finkbiner's computers. It's believed that the 39-year-old could have hundreds of victims.
Finkbiner is charged with two counts of sexually exploiting children. If convicted, he could face 60 years in prison.
The Brazil man is currently in federal custody. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Wednesday in Terre Haute.
