(MONTGOMERY COUNTY) - A Crawfordsville man who was seriously hurt when he was thrown from an ATV succumbed on Tuesday to his injuries, police said.
John Flaurr, 49, was operating a four-wheeler for the first time on Saturday near Darlington when he lost control and was thrown from the vehicle, conservation officers said.
Flaurr, who was not wearing a helmet, hit a tree and suffered unknown head injuries.
He was airlifted to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, where he later died.
Witnesses said Flaurr may have been drinking before the crash.
Conservation officers said toxicology results were still pending.
