(MONTGOMERY COUNTY) - A Crawfordsville man was seriously injured when he was thrown from an ATV into a tree Saturday, authorities said.
John Flaurr, 49, was operating a four-wheeler for the first time near Darlington when he lost control and was thrown from the vehicle, conservation officers said.
Flaurr, who was not wearing a helmet, hit a tree and suffered unknown head injuries.
He was airlifted to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. His condition was not released Sunday.
Witnesses said Flaurr may have been drinking before the crash.
