(Noblesville) -The Noblesville Police Department is searching for a missing 19-year-old woman.
Police said Chelsea Batman disappeared sometime between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday. She was last seen at her home on the 6500 block of Buttonwood Drive by her mother.
Aishah Hasnie, with Fox59 reports, Batman's mother began looking for her in the neighborhood Thursday evening and found her cell phone at a park next to Morse Reservoir. On Friday, police searched the area, but said they did not come up with anything.
Chelsea's sister, Miranda Batman, told Fox59 Chelsea wouldn't leave her phone like that.
"It would be extremely unusual for her just to kind of carelessly toss her iPhone, you know, to the side like that. It was her baby."
She said Chelsea enjoyed taking walks in the neighborhood and that she might've gone on a walk Thursday morning. She doesn't think Chelsea would've just walked away.
"She was normal," said Miranda Batman. "I mean she was talking about wanting to go for a run, she wanted to get in shape."
She described her Chelsea as "the sweetest girl. She's really quiet and shy."
She begged the community to help bring her sister home.
"It aches to not know. You feel empty. And you just worry," said Miranda Batman. "Please keep our sister in your prayers, because we miss her and we want her to come home. We want her to be safe."
The family created a Facebook page called Please Help Find Chelsea Batman to provide updates on the search and spread the word about Chelsea's disappearance.
Police said the missing teen does not have any identification or wallet with her. At this time in their investigation, they cannot say whether Chelsea is in danger or not.
Anyone with information regarding Batman's whereabouts are urged to contact the Noblesville Police Department at (317) 776-6371 or (317) 773-1300.
