(JOHNSON COUNTY) - A teen was taken into custody in connection to a hit-and-run accident that injured a 6-year-old boy, Johnson County officials said.
Witnesses told police they saw a gray car hit Gavin Rice last Thursday on County Gate Drive in New Whiteland.
Investigators identified the driver as Chassi Cole, 18.
Rice was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
Police said Cole was arrested Monday on charges of leaving the scene of an accident.
