(TERRE HAUTE) - Three Good Samaritans rush to the scene to save a driver from a burning car.
Chris Essex, of WTHI reports, it happened just after 5 p.m. Wednesday evening at the intersection of State Road 42 and Tabortown Road.
Two vehicles collided leaving a Ford Mustang on fire.
Matt Heiliger, Jeff Buell and another passerby removed James Tanner from the Mustang.
Three individuals total were involved in the accident.
All 3 people were initially taken to a local hospital.
According to family members, Tanner was transported to Indianapolis with bleeding on the brain and two crushed vertebrae.
The intersection was closed for about an hour for cleanup.
