(HENRY COUNTY)- A traffic stop along Interstate 70 in Henry County netted police more than 100 pounds of marijuana Monday.
Deputies stopped a car for traffic violations in the eastbound lanes near the 131 mile marker just after 10:30 a.m.
When they became suspicious of the driver, the deputies walked K-9 officer Cain around the car, and he alerted on the trunk, police said.
Deputies discovered 28 vacuum-sealed packages of marijuana stashed in two hockey bags.
The marijuana, which weighed in at 102 pounds, has an estimated street value of about $150,000, police said.
The driver, Lennard B. Sherouse, 48, of Carson, Calif., was arrested on a preliminary charge of dealing in marijuana.
He was being held in the Henry County Jail.
