Arrest Made In Whooping Crane Killing

(KNOX COUNTY) - Two Knox county men face charges after authorities say they killed a whooping crane

Police say, 23-year-old John Burke and 21-year-old Jason McCarter used a spotlight and a rifle to kill the bird.

This happened in January.

Whooping Cranes are an endangered species and protected by the state.

The Knox County prosecutor is reviewing the case.
