Hoosier Heat Wave To Lessen As Cold Front Sweeps Through Area

Last updated on Tuesday, May 29, 2012

(UNDATED) - Fox59 Meteorologist Ron Smiley says it may be the last time Indiana gets into the 90’s anytime soon.

A cold front is expected to sweep through the area, bringing a chance for rain and storms along with cooler air.

The northwestern part of the state has a slight chance for severe weather Monday night into Tuesday. Affected areas include Crawfordsville, Kokomo, Lafayette and Terre Haute. Strong winds and hail are possible from 9 p.m. until early Tuesday morning.

The storms will decrease in intensity as they roll through the state. Tuesday is expected to have highs in the 80s.
