(MORRISTOWN) - A man was stuck in a grain bin at a business in Morristown from more than an hour.
A Shelby County man fell into a grain elevator and became trapped Thursday night.
Emergency crews arrived on the scene around 9:50 p.m. at Bunge Grain Company.
The man was stuck in corn up to his chest for more than an hour.
According to Buck Creek Township Fire Department PIO Dave Sutherlin, employees of the company were in the process of moving corn from grain bins into rail cars.
"For one reason or another he got trapped in the grain that was moving. All the equipment was shut off prior to him being engulfed or entrapped in the equipment which was really good." Sutherland says.
Crews were able to free him and he walked away from the grain bin, but was taken to a nearby ambulance by stretcher to be checked out and transported to Major Hospital in Shelbyville in unknown condition.
