(INDIANAPOLIS) - Emergency personnel were called to I-70 on the near south side early early this morning on the report of a serious accident.
According to a witness on the scene, the motorcyclist was seen traveling at what appeared to be a high rate of speed on the ramp from South McCarty Street to eastbound I-70.
By the time the witness reached the interstate, the motorcycle was on its side and the driver was lying in the road.
Officers on scene tell Fox59 the rider was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The rider's condition was not known.
Multiple lanes of eastbound I-70 at Exit 79A were restricted while officers worked the accident scene but the interstate was never closed.
