(INDIANAPOLIS) - A shooting outside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway early Sunday was sparked by a thrown beer bottle, police said.
Officers were called to the intersection of 25th Street and Georgetown Road just after 1 a.m.
The man was found suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
Police said two men began fighting over the thrown beer bottle and went to the ground. One gunshot was fired, striking the victim.
The shooter took off, police said.
