(INDIANAPOLIS) - A Marion County jury has found Fiona Lee, the mother of a 3-year-old who was shot in the head by a 4-year-old, guilty of child neglect.
Lee was also found guilty of marijuana possession, a class A misdemeanor. Lee was found not guilty on class D felony charges of cocaine possession.
Lee, 28, was arrested in July 2010 on felony child neglect charges and felony and misdemeanor drug charges after her 3-year-old daughter Aunesti was shot in the head and killed by the 4-year-old son of Lee's boyfriend.
Investigators said the 4-year-old picked up a gun from a table and shot the girl.
Lee will learn her sentence July 25.
