(GREENSBURG) - A Greensburg woman accused of beating her son to death after he hid her pills has pleaded guilty to his murder.
Devin Parsons, 12, was found dead June 3, 2011, days after a case worker with the Department of Child Services had visited the family's home.
Parsons' mother, Tasha Parsons, 30, later admitted to using her hands, feet, a belt and a metal tray to beat her son over a period of several hours while her boyfriend, Waldo Jones Jr., watched, police said.
As part of the plea agreement, Parsons will be sentenced to at least 40 years but no more than 60 years in prison. She will be eligible for early release.
Parsons' sentencing is set for July 20.
Jones is expected to stand trial on Oct. 29.
