(WEST LAFAYETTE) - A search committee is meeting behind closed doors this morning to interview a candidate for president of Purdue.
The 14-member search committee has promised it will conduct its process with "utmost privacy," to avoid awkwardness for applicants working at other universities.
The committee has said it plans to narrow the field to two-to-four finalists, with the board of trustees making the final decision. President France Cordova is retiring in five weeks, and the board has said it wants to pick her successor by then.
The panel is gathering at Indianapolis International Airport. Four of the 10 trustees are part of the search committee. The search began 11 months ago.
