(FISHERS) - A 2-year-old girl nearly drowned after falling into a community pool in Fishers on Tuesday.
The incident happened just after 1:30 p.m. in the Meadowbrook Village subdivision near 116th Street and Wedgeport Lane.
The girl fell into the pool unnoticed and was underwater for at least a minute before another swimmer saw her at the bottom, police said.
The swimmer pulled the girl, who was blue and limp, to the surface, where a nurse practitioner who was at the pool at the time performed CPR.
The girl was successfully resuscitated.
The girl was taken to Peyton Manning's Children Hospital at St. Vincent, where she is expected to make a full recovery.
The girl's mother was at the pool at the time, police said.
