(NOBLESVILLE) - Five homes in Noblesville were damaged in fires sparked by lightning during storms early Saturday.
Firefighters were called to several reported lightning strikes overnight.
Just after 4:30 a.m., lightning struck two duplexes along Cimorron Pass in the Highland at Stony Creek subdivision.
Three elderly couples safely escaped the flames. Four units were damaged by the fire.
About 10 minutes later, lightning struck a home at 15860 Symphony Blvd. in the Arbor Grove subdivision.
When firefighters arrived, flames were shooting from the roof of the home.
The fire quickly spread to the homes on either side.
Everyone was able to escape safely.
No injuries to residents or firefighters were reported in either fire.
