(SHIPSHEWANA) - Police in northern Indiana say the victim in a fatal crash involving an Amish buggy on a rural highway was a 7-month-old boy.
The LaGrange County Sheriff's Department says the boy, two sisters and their mother were thrown from the buggy when it turned into a passing semitrailer on Indiana 120 near Shipshewana.
The Elkhart Truth reports that Jaedon Schlabach of Shipshewana was pronounced dead at the scene after Monday's crash about 40 miles east of South Bend. The News Sun of Kendallville reports Jaedon died of blunt-force trauma.
His sisters ages 3 and 4 and their mother were taken to hospitals for treatment of injuries.
