(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is looking for the top 20 toys of the last 100 years.
Museum curators have come up with a list of 100 toys over the last century and the public will be able to choose the top 20.
Museum President and CEO Dr. Jeffrey Patchen says the curators felt the toys best represented childhood from the last 100 years. He says some are specific such as Magic 8-Ball and View-Master but others are more generic like the baby doll.
From now until August 17th, a set of 20 toys will be highlighted each week at childrensmuseum.org/100toys and the 20 toys with the most votes will be revealed on August 20th. Then, the public can rank the final 20 in their preferred order of importance until September 7th. The final list will be revealed on September 11th.
The public can also share their stories about their favorite toys on the Children's Museum's Facebook and Twitter pages.
