(PENDLETON) - Kenneth Jim Bailey Jr. — the man who police said shot and killed one man, injured two officers then shot himself after a police standoff late Thursday - told his wife he wanted to “blow everyone away” at her workplace, according to court documents.
Bailey's estranged wife filed a protective order against her husband with the Madison County Court Thursday, but it is unclear whether the paperwork was delivered to her husband before he went to Pendleton.
According to the paperwork, Kenneth Bailey said he "would love to just sit outside the gate and shoot everyone coming and going" at his wife's workplace.
"I told him he doesn't even know the people and that's wrong, and he said he'd let God figure out who's good and bad," she wrote in the court document.
She also wrote that in 2009, her husband "threatened to harm others then kill himself if I ever left him."
Bailey also reportedly sold his boat and other personal items because he did not want his wife to have half of them if she divorced him.
"He would tell me if he ever hears or sees me with anyone, he's coming after us and he'd just shoot us from a distance where we stand," she said. "I'm scared he would. I'm looking over my shoulder when I leave the house."
