(HAMILTON COUNTY) - Low water levels resulting from central Indiana’s drought have caused officials to close a popular local beach.
Morse Beach in Noblesville will be closed for the remainder of the season, Hamilton County Parks and Recreation officials said.
The beach was supposed to be open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Aug. 14, and on weekends through Labor Day.
With already-low water levels still receding, officials decided to close the beach early.
