(INDIANAPOLIS) - Friday marked eight years since missing college student Molly Dattilo was last seen.
The 23-year-old Eastern Kentucky University student from Madison, who had been attending summer classes at IUPUI in Indianapolis, went for a boat ride at her west side apartment complex the night she was last seen.
In 2010, Dattilo's family won a nearly $3.5 million judgment against two men - John Shelton and his father, Edward Shelton - it claims were involved in her disappearance.
A lawsuit filed by Dattilo's legal guardian claimed the men had attacked Dattilo, possibly causing her death.
Neither of the men have been charged in Dattilo's disappearance.
John Shelton, who was serving time on an unrelated conviction, was released from prison in January.
