(CENTER GROVE) - A 12-year-old boy playing in the driveway of a Johnson County home got behind the wheel of a car, hitting his mom and critically injuring her, the Daily Journal, reports.
The boy got into the driver side door, which was open, and played with the gear shifter and pedals. He got the car into reverse, and the door hit mother Hilda Williams, 39. When she was struck, she fell to the ground and hit her head.
Medics took Williams to IU Health Methodist Hospital with severe head bleeding.
The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of Pinetree Way, which is in the Center Grove area.
