(CEDAR GROVE) - A 15-year-old girl drowned Sunday in a river in southeastern Indiana.
The Department of Natural Resources said the girl was rafting with family and friend along the Whitewater River in Franklin County.
The girl, from Cincinnati, went for a swim but disappeared under the water.
Her body was recovered about 3:30 p.m. near Cedar Grove, near U.S. 52.
DNR said that although water levels are down, people should be wary of pooled water and drop-offs.
